Musician's Health Forum was born out of the idea that musicians living with RSI, or other medical difficulties that affect their ability to perform, should have access to a community of musicians with shared experience and health professionals who can offer guidance and support.  Although an estimated 80% of musicians will experience an injury at some point in their career which hinders their ability to practice their craft, it can still be an isolating experience, made more overwhelming by various stigmas and societal pressures. 

 

On top of this, many primary care physicians lack the specialized knowledge to appropriately diagnose and refer patients, leaving many musicians and artists to navigate RSI recovery on their own.  The mission of this website is to foster a community where we can share resources for recovery, experiences, and understand our path through the journey of others.
